The Alimosho Local Government yesterday participated in this year’s Annual International Tree Planting Day, the exercise which was carried out at the Akowonjo Primary School with the theme “Tree for Life” by the Executive Chairman Honourable Jelili Sulaimon ably represented by his Vice, Honourable Francis Adebisi.
In his speech Adebisi noted that there is no better time to returning back nature than now while reiterating the need for all to adequately be responsible for our environment and also maintaining a good standard of hygiene which has been further spiked by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Adebisi who was accompanied by supervisory councillors, members of the legislative arm and the Head of Administration, Engr. Dele as the team planted trees within the premises of Akowonjo Primary School. The annual exercise is geared towards restoring nature and redeeming the devastating climate change.
