Telecommunication giants, globacom and MTN, have decided to cushion the effects of the hardship of the current situation of Covid-19 lockdown by gifting data to their subscribers.
With the deadly pandemic ravaging the entire globe, glo, one of the telecommunication companies have set the pace during the commencement of the lockdown exercise by demonstrating its Grand-Master of data status with glo’s uninterrupted five hours free data stretching from midnight to 5:00am daily in accumulation to its Glo-yakata, and other bonuses to all active subscribers. Subscribers have commended the Mike Adenuga-led indigenous company. In the same vein, subscribers of MTN network  started receiving short messages [SMS] notifying them of a 14days validity of 100mb reward offer, this will go in no small way to aid vulnerable members of the society, and grant them internet access.
‘These offers could not have come at no better time than now’, as expressed by some of the beneficiaries owing to the lockdown and a work-free period as the gesture has afforded them more time online to keep tab on news, updates and developments on the pandemic or downloading of choice movies and materials from the internet at a time when the power supply has remained in its traditional epileptic form, across all the disco networks.
