Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has flagged off the construction of Azeez Ayorinde Street, with the aim of improving life residents and creating alternative route linking Egbeda Iyana Ipaja and Abeokuta Express way.
The Council Manager, Engr. Dele Abayomi said “we have a thoroughly scrutinised the contractors before awarding the job, we have brought you one of the best contractors in town”.
Hon. Jelili apologized for the Jimoh Akinremi Street which is still under construction, he said ” we are aware of the hardship and challenges the ongoing construction have on the community and we are having sleepless nights to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible”
He reiterated that “Azeez Ayorinde will corroborate Jimoh Akinremi to ease movement within the community and contribute to its economic value and also serve as alternative route”.
The chairman used the opportunity to advocate for payment of Local Government rates to enable the government achieve more projects.
The representative of Filbato Engineering, the contactor in charge of Azeez Ayorinde street, Eng. Felix Ofuloso said ” we have a duty to fix the road up to international standard. We will resume to site on Monday 17th of June 2016″.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. Francis calls for maximum support from the community to enable the contractor work effectively.
The CDA Chairman of Dynamic Residence Association, Mr. Abayomi Agbede appreciates the effort of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon administration for the project and assured the Local Government of their maximum support.
The project duration is six months and will include drainages and the construction of interlocking road.
