Jelili Extends Working Hours of Revenue Officers

    The end of day-one of the on going 2019 executive budget retreat of Alimosho Local Government has given her opportunity to find  ways of increasing her internally generated revenue (IGR) as the team agreed to the implementation of a new working schedule for her revenue collecting officials.

    The move is aimed at accommodating businesses that operates outside the usual working hours of the revenue officers, with the new schedule revenue officers are expected to work from the statutory official resumption hours of 8am through 8pm.This measure is to ensure effective monitoring and accommodation of late hour businesses in contributing their quota to the development of Alimosho Local Government.

    In creating awareness of the implementation the local government has allocated 5 persons per area to inform the public on the new development while insisting that the revenue collectors will be on uniforms attached with official revenue vehicles and appropriate security personnel to forestall any breach.

    He appeal on residents and businesses alike to cooperate with the revenue officers for the continuation of infrastructural and developmental strive in Alimosho; while pledging to utilizing the revenue in building more schools, primary health center, roads among others.

    He further listed some of the achievement of the administration in 2018 that include the rehabilitation  of over 20 roads, the ongoing construction of Ogo Oluwa street already at completion stage. A modern one storey building primary health center also at its completion stage as well as another modern one storey building primary school ongoing at Abati primary school among others. He promised that his administration is determined to do even more if only the people will pay their rates.
