* May lead a million man march against the development
With 109 days to the 2019 general elections, the heat generated by the claim that President Muhammadu Buhari’s certificates are still with the Army authorities is yet to settle as the Cross Rivers State Coordinator of Atiku Campaign Movement Worldwide Honourable Ikobi Ikobi said that such a claim should not be accepted by the independent Electoral Commission (INEC) as the electoral act made it clear that candidates for any elective position must attach their credentials and submitted to INEC anything other than that will mean nothing but a double standard by the electoral empire will also demean her independent status.
Honourable Ikobi stated this during a telephone chat with the president of the movement Barrister Segun Michael who informed our correspondent , he (Ikobi) said the movement is ready to organize a million man march against any act of accepting such excuses while noting that if ministers were relieved of their position through resignation and disqualified from gubernatorial race by reason of similar certificate matters referring to the former minister of finance Kemi Adeosun and the minister for telecommunication respectively; such should be applied also.
He noted that the call for the president’s certificate is a simple test on his acclaimed integrity which over 190 million Nigerians await him to pass by providing them. He further reiterated that in 2015 , we agreed he was in the opposition and may have had challenges ( if at all) in having asses to these document however today is a different story, he is now the Commnder in Chief and all is required of him is an order to the military authorities and it will be delivered to him.
Barrister Michael noted that the president should debunk the claims by some quarters that there is no such thing as the secretary of military board by ordering the military authority to present his certificates and avoid any action that might be seen as unfair treatment by other candidates in the general elections.
He also commensurate with the family Chief Anthony Anenih, on his death, saying that Nigeria has lost a statesman and that the entire members of ACMW mourn the loss of such a great icon at this crucial time of our country and pray for God to give his immediate and political families the fortitude to bear the great loss while his soul rests in peace.
