However, a fact it is, that most people who live in the environs of Alimosho especially in places like Ayobo, Ikola, etc have had to struggle with ATM withdrawals in the time past.
For many Nigerians and residents of Alimosho LGA; WEMA Bank Plc has in her few year of regaining her lost status as a national bank in 2015 following her inability of the the stipulated requirements of a national bank as set by the apex bank the Central Bank of Nigeria sometime around 2006 has become lot better and even more efficient in her services.
Recently, the bank just completed her multi million Naira edifice to house her Egbeda branch which was formerly operating from a rented apartment thereby providing the required ambience for business for her existing and prospective customers alike. The new structure which represent a masterpiece with topnotch fittings to meet with recent standards in structural design is sited on over a plot of land along Egbeda-Idimu Road by Ile Epo Alhaji bus stop.
The structural design has attracted more customers to what can be called the new WEMA Bank with her re-energized and service oriented personnel to get the business done and her crop of well cultured security personnel always willing to assist customers from her well marked car park to the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) gallery through the entrance into the banking hall where customers have various products and services designed for various businesses and even for the new generations. Some of these products include WEMA ALAT which has won the bank several wards in the recent years, E-banking, WemaOnline, Money Gram etc. in addition the bank has facilities to support the businesses of her customers ranging from SME Loans, Agric finance, WEMA asset acquisition, import finance facility amongst others.
WEMA, though not having much branches within the nook and crannies of Alimosho when compared with her potentials based on population and growing numbers of SMEs but through her innovative ways of providing services even beyond her customers through her introduction of mobile ATM located in communities that may be termed none bankable areas. This service has brought life to her host communities as attested by beneficiaries.
According to a resident of Abaranje/Ijegun community simply identified as Mr Obed, ” WEMA has helped us from the pain of spending hours on queue or traveling time to Ikotun bus stop just to assess ATM with this truck referring to WEMA Mobile ATM, he continued “this truck comes here loaded with cash for both WEMA and non WEMA customer with the assurance of dispensing cash all through the day.
Another resident identified as Titi also expressed her joy to the service delivery of the Mobile ATM while comparing it with others situated within bank branches in her words ” once you are here, it is as good as getting your cash unlike the experiences you get when you visit those other ATMs in most of the banks around where you often get the excuse of temporary unable to dispense cash” it is not so with this WEMA truck.
