The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Alimosho Local Government chapter on Tuesday honoured nine retirees of the local government as it celebrated 365 days in office.
Comrade Bldr. Rufaiyat Alejo, Chairman, NULGE Alimosho Local Goverment used the occasion to highlight various achievements of his administration which include, refurbishing the NULGE bus, office, welfare package for widows and providing recreational games for staff among others.
In his address the executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Hon. Jelili Sulaimon,said “the history of Alimosho is not complete without the names of some of the retirees today. I want to commend and congratulate the NULGE chairman for putting up first of its kind programme together”. The Executive chairman also promised the retirees special new year gift.
Rufiyat urged the staff to stay focused while noting that the era of expecting something from nothing from our government or from each other is far gone and its time to take responsibility, not only for ourselves and our families, but for our communities and our country.”
The occassiin was graced by the Secretary to Alimosho local government Hon. Dare Ogunkoya and NULGE chairmen of five other Local Government Areas.
