181 Roads Community Project: Oduwole Street Residents Await Commencement of Project; Alimosho to benefit 8,048 metres…

Following the assurance of His Excellency, the governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on the commencement of the community road project tagged 181 Roads during the eight series of his Town Hall Meeting recently held at Badore area of the state, the governor sighted that the delay was as a result of the fluctuations in the foreign exchange rate which he said has been stabilised to an extent lately while promising that work will commence in September.

Our correspondent visited one of the listed streets to get the feel of residents on the anticipated commencement of the project.
Oduwole Street in Egbe-Idimu LCDA; Mr Akin a resident said the residents cannot wait to see that come to pass as their pains has grown to the high heavens following the persistent rainfall which has is making it a hackling task to navigate through the bad road. He prayed the government to not only construct Oduwole but to link it with Federal Site Road which will help in opening up the entire area for commerce and put an end to the traffic usually experienced on Egbeda-Idimu Expressway. For another resident of Oduwole who pleaded anonymity; its that of a mixed feelings as she expressed her fears of losing her property but said the project is a welcomed development which will add value to both residents and the entire Alimosho at large.
Other street to benefit from the 181 Roads Projects include Jimoh Akinremi/Ogunbiyi Street, Olarenwaju/Soyombo Alaka Street in Alimosho LGA, Olawale Cole and Old Road in Agbado-Okeodo LCDA, Community Road, Agodo and Oduwole Street in Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Baba Kaka and Yusuf Street in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Tanimowo/Oladipe/Abibatu and Rufai Ashimi/Abiba Anthony Street in Igando-Ikotun LCDA while Mosan-Okunola has Awori Street, Akinogun and 1st Avenue, Abesan Estate.The completion of these roads will further ease time of navigating within the environs of Alimosho and creating more enabling environment for businesses and prospective investors.
